These songs have lived in me since childhood, learned at the piano with my grandmother Ethel before I knew what they meant, only that I loved singing them. Now in Nashville with my favorite musicians, I’m finally recording them as I’ve always heard them. While recording, my daughter Hazel was quietly coming, a reminder that life unfolds and timing matters. This record is a return, a beginning, and I’m proud to share it with you.
